Spooks and Treats of NASCAR At Talladega: What makes it such a treat, but also so tricky to beat!

NASCAR is the sport that fans love to watch, the guy they like up front, wrecks now and then, and of course those victory lane moments that people want to last forever! Beyond these small things, the tracks that NASCAR go to are what make some fans the most excited for, including Talladega Super Speedway!

This halloween in 2010 NASCAR had another sprint cup "race for the chase" held on this tricky track. Talladega has been known for some crazy wrecks and close bump-to-bumper finishes. The irony of having a track like this on halloween got fans even more revved up. Everyone who was a fan of NASCAR knew this race was going to be a nail-bitter to the very last lap.

The race consisted of 188 laps total, many people would not think that is much, but really for the drivers and die-hard fans it's the longest 188 laps anyone has ever seen. Pre-RaceDay event's kick off and then the drivers go and start the engines up for a high-flying race to begin. Not only is it Halloween that is full of Spooky Monsters and Treats all around, for the drivers Talladega has the Spooky turns and bump-to-bump action, but also have the sweet treat of victory lane ahead of them.

Dale Jr started off the race leading, after that the leaders change multiple times during the course of all the laps. Bump-Drafting was key to the drivers, this was getting behind one another to give a push in order to help move forward among the pack of other drivers. Chasers and Non-Chasers were all ready to go and began to, the lead change happened a lot due to this technique.

As much as fans like to see contact/wrecks there were only a few this time around. Some of the drivers hit one another and ended up having to get work done before returning back. Two debris cautions came out as well, if your an avid NASCAR fan you know that at least one debris caution will come out per race. The only "BIG ONE" wreck was at the very end with AJ, Scott Speed, Kasey Kahne, and a few others.

Bump-Drafting become essential at the last 20 laps of the race, Chad Knaus (Crew Chief of the number 48) had told Jimmie Johnson to "go now". Johnson took off, him and Gordon began to head toward the front, only then Gordon had problems with his car. When they had another restart for a caution, no one helped Johnson out-he ended up in the top 10. Clint Bowyer won the race, followed by Kevin Harvick and the rest.

The race ended well and fans began to speak their minds on Twitter and all was like usual. The Point's standing show Johnson in the lead, but now Harvick then Hamlin. The question many people beg to ask is who will really go out and win the chase this year????

On Speed Chicks & Stars, Thursday night--Kate, Larry, Trevor, and I all made our picks on who we wanted to win in what division (trucks, sprint). Kate and I said that our pick was Denny Hamlin.I pointed out strongly saying "Anyone but Jimmie Johnson can win and i'll be happy". Trevor disagreed with me and said that Jimmie has this "Drive For 5" locked away and he's gonna end up being the chase winner. As we debate, Larry (Voice of Argument/Reason) piped-up about how Kevin Harvick  was the one who would end up dominating.

After our picks were final and as i watched the race today, i could tell our drivers all had their "highs and lows". We all cheered for our guys to go up and other's to go down. As I have said before, it will only take time and these last couple races to help determine who comes out victorious in the "Race for the Chase"

Overall Talladega lived up to it's enjoying moments and moments that left you on the edge of your seat. Halloween does the same, leaves you with sweets and also a good scare, here and there. For Clint Bowyer, he got the sweet treat of Victory Lane, as for the other drivers, they too got the sweet treat, but also got the terror of Talladega.

NASCAR fans everywhere are now asking what will happen in the next race and who is really going to end up being our chase champion. I ask you fans, who do you think deserves to win this championship and what are you most looking forward to in the last few races of this season???
